Checks how well your thyroid is working by measuring Free T3, Free T4 and TSH.
Also known as: Thyroid Function Test (TFT), Thyroid Profile, FT3, FT4 & TSH
The Thyroid Profile (FT3, FT4 & TSH) is a blood test that evaluates how well your thyroid gland is functioning. It measures three important thyroid hormones: Free T3 (FT3), Free T4 (FT4), and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). These hormones regulate metabolism, energy production, heart rate, body temperature, and overall growth and development.
An imbalance in thyroid hormone levels can lead to conditions such as hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) or hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). Early detection helps prevent complications and allows timely treatment.
A thyroid profile measures the levels of:
Together, these three tests provide a complete picture of your thyroid health.
Your doctor may recommend this test to:
High or low results may indicate:
You may need a Thyroid Profile test if you experience:
1.Free T3 (FT3)
Helps regulate metabolism and energy. Abnormal levels may point to a thyroid hormone imbalance.
2.Free T4 (FT4)
The primary hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Used to check whether the thyroid is making enough hormone.
3.Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Ultrasensitive
Produced by the pituitary gland to control thyroid hormone production. It is often the first marker to change in thyroid disorders.
No fasting is required.
Before your test:

| Free T4 (FT4) | 0.8 – 1.8 ng/dL |
| Free T3 (FT3) | 2.3 – 4.2 pg/mL |
| Note | Reference ranges may vary slightly depending on the laboratory. |
Reference ranges can differ between labs. Your report shows the range used by the lab.

Yes. OnHealth provides home blood sample collection in the cities we serve.
A high TSH level may indicate an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Your doctor will interpret the result with your FT3, FT4 and symptoms.
